U.S. Ambassador handed over hand disinfection and glove to Latvian schoolchildren

U.S. Ambassador to Latvia John Carvail handed over 1000 litres of disinfectant and 22,500 pairs of non-sterilized disposable gloves to representatives of the Latvian Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health. About it writes on June 2 portal Nra.lv. According to journalists, the project, the cost of which is estimated at $15 million 000 was directly implemented by representatives of the U.S. Embassy in Latvia and the Procurement Bureau of the Latvian Defense Ministry. It is noted that the agent for disinfection of hands and gloves will be used for the needs of 12-graders during the centralized examinations from June 2 to the end of July 2020. As the news agency reported, an emergency regime was introduced in Latvia from March 13 to May 12 due to the coronavirus pandemic. On May 7, the emergency regime in the country was extended until June 9 with a number of easing.
