A German shepherd, who became the first identified dog infected with SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in the United States, died a month after she was diagnosed with a coronavirus infection. We are talking about a seven-year-old German shepherd Buddy from New York State. In mid-April, the dog had breathing difficulties. However, only in early June, the Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service of the US Department of Agriculture reported that a coronavirus was detected in a dog. On July 11, Buddy passed away. Veterinarians during Buddy's examinations found that he suffered from cancer, which is characteristic of older dogs.
