Buttijic toured Sanders at the Cokuses in Iowa
Former U.S. naval intelligence officer Pete Buttijic won the Democratic party asset vote in Iowa, beating his main rival Bernie Sanders by 1,515 votes. This is reported by the local headquarters of the Democratic Party following the results of counting 100% of votes. Buttijic has 564,012 votes, Sanders has 562,497 votes. The third place was taken by Elizabeth Warren, who received 387,069 votes, followed by Joe Biden with 341,172 votes.
