Despite the heavy snowfall that has been going on in South Ossetia for the last two days, the Trans-Caucasus (Transkam) highway is open to traffic. This is reported on February 13 by the agency Res with reference to the press service of South Ossetia. On the territory of South Ossetia the last 24 hours abundant snowfall, however Transkam is open to all modes of transport, the Ministry reported to journalists. It should be noted that earlier this highway was closed due to snowfall for traffic on February 7. The Trans-Caucasus Highway is the only road that links Russia and South Ossetia.
