12 new cases of coronavirus infection identified in Latvia


Over the past 24 hours, the number of detected cases of coronavirus infection in Latvia has increased by 12. On May 1, the LSM portal writes about it with reference to the data of the Center for Control and Prevention of Infectious Diseases (SPKC). According to SPKC, within 24 hours the doctors carried out 3,234 tests, the total number examined exceeded 61,000. There are 34 patients in hospital, two of whom are in severe condition. In the country, COVID-19 people died of 16. It is noted that the number of cases in Latvia reached 870. According to the news agency, an emergency regime was introduced in Latvia from 13 March to 12 May due to the pandemic.
