Iran: The government is doing everything possible to solve the problems of the people

On September 22, Iranian government spokesman Ali Rabiei stated that the country's authorities are well aware of the problems of Iranian society and are making every effort to solve them. This was reported by the Iranian agency IRNA. Rabiei made these remarks at a meeting with local officials of the southeastern province of Sistan and Balochistan. He stressed that US sanctions are an obstacle to free trade, saying that the current government is working in a situation that is very different from previous governments due to unprecedented economic pressure from the United States. The Iranian government managed to create a certain balance, despite all the existing problems, Rabiei said. According to him, the Iranian government allocated about 9 million dollars to provide the people with basic goods. Citing the fact that last month the United States was unable to adopt a resolution against Iran in the UN Security Council, Rabiei emphasized that almost all UN Security Council member states refused to support Washington's attempt to restore sanctions against the Islamic Republic.
