Indonesia takes a diplomatic approach to the South China Sea
Former commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces Muldoko said that Indonesia will take diplomatic steps when disputes erupt in the South China Sea, Antara reports. In accordance with the doctrine of free and active foreign policy, Indonesia will use a diplomatic approach to create peace in the region, Muldoko said at the anniversary series of webinars on the theme "Energy geopolitics in the South China Sea: the power of diplomacy in Jakarta." According to him, Indonesia takes a strategic position on the issue of the South China Sea, however, if the conflict does break out, Indonesia will take a neutral position, without preferring one of the countries.
